As I was reading the Milton Independent this week I came across the honor roll list for the end of the 2016-2017 school year. So, naturally I perused the list to see how many youth I knew on the list. I picked out 5 Troop 603 members on this list:

Thank you Ty

On our bike trip today a group had decided to continue on for 25 miles once we hit 20. Around mile 23 the road transitioned from dirt to pavement and the dirt was washboard rough and we were going downhill. I hit the washboard dirt and went over my handlebars and slid across the pavement. So as you can imagine it was a bit gruesome. I would like to thank Ty who immediately jumped into action with Mr. Kaigle. He had no hesitation in getting his first aid kit and commenced to taking care of cleaning my wounds. An EMT happened to drive by and stopped to help. Once he found out Ty is a Scout he let him continue and coached him when he needed to. Ty kept calm throughout the whole ordeal and helped get me to a standing position and in my car. Thank goodness he took the first aid merit badge this summer. I wish to express my gratitude for his care and how very proud of him I am. Thank you to all of you for your concern. Ty was definitely paying attention to Miss Lucy in his merit badge and learned well. Great job to all and thank you.
